Rotary Club of Weaverville teamed up with the TPA Girls Volleyball Teams in 2022 to raise funds for the teams and for the fight against Polio.
Winning 74 games this season, the girls raised over $500 for team expenses and over $1,500 for Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate Polio. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation matched these funds with $2 for every $1 raised – resulting in over $5,000 going to the fight Polio.
The Volleyball team coaches will be joining us on December 8th to share a little about the impact the fundraiser had on the team. We will also be presenting them with a check for their share of the funds raised through this new FUNdraiser.
