Team Up Against Polio

Rotary Club of Weaverville & Trinity Prep Girls Volleyball

Please join the Rotary Club of Weaverville & Trinity Preparatory Academy Girls Volleyball as they team up to support ongoing efforts to eradicate polio and empower our youth.

Pledge a fixed amount or get in on the fun by pledging a certain $ amount for every game the girls win between September 10 and October 22. Our girls have 35 possible wins!

A $1.00 per game won pledge would generate a $35 donation if the girls won them all. Let’s hope they do!  See below for additional sample pledge amounts.

Your pledge can make a difference in the lives of our girls while giving them the opportunity to make a difference in the fight to eradicate Polo.

Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. Our goal of ridding the world of this disease is closer than ever.  If all eradication efforts stopped today, within 10 years, polio could paralyze as many as 200,000 children each year.

Sports programs like our TPA Girls Volleyball are so important for our youth.  Girls who participate in sports (on average) have higher levels of confidence and self-esteem, have a more positive body image, and perform better academically.  Team practice, competition, and fundraising all provide opportunities for our girls to grow as individuals, and as a team.

Our TPA Girls Volleyball Teams rely on fundraising to provide new uniforms, team shirts, team equipment, and the money required to participate in tournaments.
