Our Global Initiatives

International Project Travel Program

Our club is investigation options for the funding of member travel to support Rotary International initiatives around the globe.  This not only broadens the impact of our local club, it offers the opportunity for members to bring back new perspectives from working alongside Rotary members in other countries.

Ending Polio

Rotary has been working to eradicate Polio for more than 35 years.  Our club supports the global initiative through local initiatives that raise awareness and raise funds.  Rotary Club of Weaverville joined Trinity Preparatory Academy Girls Volleyball Teams to “Team Up Against Polio” in 2022.  Together we raised over $2,000.  The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s ($2 to $1) match turned our $1,500 into $4,500.  The Girls Volleyball Teams earned $500 for equipment, uniforms, and tournament expenses.
